Strengthening Bilateral Ties: PM Modi’s Conversation with Italian PM Meloni

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi engaged in a telephone conversation with Georgia Meloni, the Prime Minister of Italy, on an auspicious occasion – the 79th anniversary of Liberation Day. During this dialogue, PM Modi extended his warm greetings to PM Meloni and the people of Italy, underscoring the significance of the day.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation extended by PM Meloni to the G7 Summit Outreach Sessions scheduled for June 2024 in Puglia, Italy, PM Modi conveyed his appreciation. The leaders engaged in discussions regarding the importance of advancing the significant outcomes achieved during India’s G20 Presidency, particularly those supporting the Global South. They expressed their intent to further these outcomes at the G7 Summit under Italy’s Presidency, signifying a collaborative effort towards global progress.

Reaffirming their commitment to bolstering the bilateral Strategic partnership, both leaders emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to strengthen ties between India and Italy. This commitment reflects the mutual desire to deepen cooperation across various sectors and enhance bilateral relations for the benefit of both nations.
