‘Yoga Connect’ global summit begins in Delhi with over 1,000 participants

Prior to the International Day of Yoga (IDY), the Ministry of Ayush is organizing the prominent global summit ‘Yoga Connect’ at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi this Saturday. The gathering unites wellness pioneers and yoga specialists globally to share insights, studies, and advancements in holistic well-being.
Held in a hybrid format, the event seeks to unite prominent figures from the yoga and holistic wellness communities to exchange ideas, research, and innovations. The summit, organized by the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN), has drawn involvement from world-renowned yoga masters and wellness experts.
Notable personalities including Dr. H.R. Nagendra, Bikkhu Sanghasena, Bharath Bhushan, Baba Ramdev, and Acharya Balakrishna are anticipated to offer their perspectives throughout the sessions.
As per the Ministry of Ayush, over 1,000 attendees are present at the event in person, while numerous virtual spectators are participating from around the world.
Participants comprise yoga enthusiasts, researchers, healthcare experts, policymakers, business executives, and wellness promoters from nations such as the US, UK, South Korea, and Bahrain, among others.
The summit is a component of a series of preparatory events culminating in the International Day of Yoga on June 21, showcasing more than one lakh synchronized yoga sessions throughout India and overseas. These activities, following a shared yoga framework, are scheduled to occur concurrently from 6:30 AM to 7:40 AM, showcasing the 2025 theme: ‘One Earth, One Health.’ Union AYUSH Minister Prataprao Jadhav stated that the primary celebration for the International Day of Yoga this year will be held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the forefront of the event.
More than 65,000 organizations in India have signed up to join this national wellness campaign, which is now acknowledged as one of the most significant global health movements.
