The New Rechargeable, Solar Cooking Stove From Indian Oil May Be Used Indoors And Even Replace LPG

Using solar energy, Indian Oil and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas created the Surya Nutan cooktop in 2021.

A fixed, rechargeable indoor solar cooker is called a Surya Nutan. The R&D center in Faridabad of Indian Oil created and developed the patented product.

By a wire that transports the solar energy obtained through the solar panels on the roof, it uses the sun’s energy to cook food in the kitchen. Because it doesn’t require exposure to the sun, it is special.

The appliance has an online cooking mode that allows for solar charging, and it also has a hybrid mode that enables the simultaneous use of auxiliary power and solar power. It can therefore be used all year round.

This solar system is significant in light of the energy crisis in our country; India now imports 50% of its LPG needs. According to a news release from Indian Oil, such a stove can also lower India’s carbon dioxide emissions.

Three models of the Surya Nutan range in price from Rs 12,000 to Rs 23,000. The highest model can prepare all four meals for a household of four.
