Eklakshya NGO celebrates 75th Independence Day

Vaishali: Eklakshya Educational & Cultural Society, an NGO, celebrated 75th Independence Day of the nation with great enthusiasm and fanfare among slum children.
The celebrations were kicked off with flag hoisting by the distinguished Chief Guest Ratnajyoti Dutta, Senior Journalist of International repute, followed by Rastragaan by the members of Eklakshya.
“The spirit of nation building has to be imbibed by all of us including the children gathered at today’s Independence Celebration who are the future responsible citizens of the country,” said Ratnajyoti Dutta in his special address to the gathering.
Slum children performed a colourful cultural programme on the occasion.
RB Rai, Secretary of Eklakshya, deliberated on the various challenges, achievements and future planned endeavours of the NGO.
Bali Bhain – Patron Member, Jayanta Mukhopadhyay- Chairman, Devendra Singh Thapa: Executive Director and many other personalities associated with Eklakshya NGO were present in the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The programme ended with light refreshments to all present with the children from the nearby slum areas thoroughly enjoying the spirit of the Independence Day celebration.
Essar Foundation extended support to Eklakshya in making the 75th Year Independence Day celebration a success.
