Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that terrorists in Pakistan sealed their fate by confronting the “nari shakti” of India, alluding to the incident in Pahalgam where women witnessed their husbands being murdered. The Prime Minister also stated that ‘Sindoor’ was the largest and most successful anti-terrorism operation in Indian history.

“In Pahalgam, the terrorists didn’t just shed blood – they attacked our culture. They tried to divide our society. The terrorists challenged the nari shakti of India, and this challenge turned into doom for the terrorists and their sponsors,” PM Modi said while taking part in the ‘Mahila Sashaktikaran Maha Sammelan‘ in Bhopal on the 300th birth anniversary of Queen Ahilyabai Holkar.

On April 22, 25 male tourists were killed in the picturesque Baisaran meadow by Lashkar militants, who targeted individuals recognized as non-Muslims. In response, India initiated Operation Sindoor – a title meant to honor the women who became widows in the assault. Throughout the conflict, India not only obliterated significant terror camps within Pakistan, but also aimed at military installations prior to reaching a ceasefire agreement.

The Prime Minister stated that India caught Pakistan off guard when its military obliterated terror bases. PM Modi’s comment arises during a verbal clash between the BJP and the Congress regarding who executed the most cross-border surgical strikes.

The Prime Minister also reiterated that both terrorists and their sponsors would have to pay a heavy price in the future if India was attacked again.

“Operation Sindoor has declared loud and clear that proxy war through terrorism will no longer be tolerated. Now, we will strike even inside their homes (ghar mein ghus ke marenge). Anyone who helps terrorists will pay a heavy price for it,” PM Modi declared.

The Prime Minister also took the opportunity to highlight how an all-women BSF team, led by Assistant Commandant Neha Bhandari, defended their forward posts in Akhnoor for three days as an infuriated Pakistan retaliated to India’s Operation Sindoor with artillery fire.

“Today, the world is witnessing the strength of India’s daughters in defence. Our BSF daughters were protecting our borders and giving a befitting reply during Operation Sindoor,” he said.

PM Modi also said the graduation of the first batch of 17 female cadets from the National Defence Academy was a historic moment for women in the Indian armed forces.
