Cricket should showcase its top talent at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics by sending the best six teams, according to ICC executive committee member Johnny Grave. He emphasized that the sport must make a strong first impression to secure its Olympic future. With cricket returning to the Games after over a century, Grave stressed the importance of fielding elite squads rather than developmental sides. He believes including only the top-performing nations would ensure competitiveness and global appeal, enhancing cricket’s chances of long-term inclusion in the Olympic programme. The final team selection format is yet to be decided.
