On May 3, 2025, a serious safety concern was observed onboard Rachi New Delhi Rajdhani Express,Train No. 20839 in the 2AC coach. A broken and displaced mirror was found in the washroom, causing not only inconvenience but also posing a significant safety hazard to passengers. The matter was reported under PNR: 6751352419 by passenger Sagar Sakar to the TTE cum Superintendent.
Washrooms are essential facilities on long-distance trains, and any damage—especially to items like mirrors—can result in injuries. Loose glass in a moving train can be dangerous, especially for children and elderly passengers. Moreover, such conditions reflect poorly on the maintenance standards of Indian Railways.
Prompt repair and routine inspections are necessary to avoid such risks. Authorities are urged to treat this as a priority issue to ensure passenger safety, comfort, and the reputation of our railway services. Immediate rectification and preventive measures must follow.
