Pakistan admits India hit 7 more targets in strikes

India’s focus on sites in Pakistan during the four days of military confrontations last month was broader than previously understood, as a document from the Pakistani government confirmed that Indian drones hit areas from Peshawar in the northwest down to Hyderabad in the south.

The document regarding Pakistan’s Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, launched in reaction to India’s Operation Sindoor, identifies at least seven sites struck by Indian drones that were not mentioned in official communications by Indian representatives. The document shared with the Pakistani media primarily highlights what it refers to as India’s “unprovoked aggression,” although this followed the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians.

The visuals in the Pakistani report concerning India’s drone attacks on May 8, 9, and 10 identify seven sites – Peshawar in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, Attock, Bahawalnagar, Gujrat, and Jhang in Punjab province, along with Chhor and Hyderabad in Sindh province – which were not recognized as targets by Indian officials in any briefings before or after the conflicts.

The report did not specify what the Indian drone strikes had aimed for at these seven sites. Bahawalnagar features an army cantonment, whereas Gujrat district hosts the largest cantonment in Pakistan situated at Kharian. Shorkot cantonment is situated in Jhang district, next to Rafiqui airbase, which was also struck by Indian missiles. The Desert Warfare School of the Pakistan Army is based in Chhor cantonment, while Hyderabad also contains an army cantonment.

Detailed satellite images from multiple private companies have shown the destruction caused by India’s military actions against terrorist facilities at nine locations in areas managed by Pakistan on May 7, followed by further assaults on eight airbases on May 10.

On May 7, the Indian Air Force targeted two terror sites in Pakistan: Markaz Subhanallah and Markaz Taiba, linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, respectively. The IAF continued strikes on military targets across several locations, including Rafiqui, Murid, and Karachi, marking significant actions against terrorist organizations involved in attacks on India, including the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
