Tech brand Nothing is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated Phone 3 on July 1, and early details suggest it will be the company’s most premium and powerful smartphone yet. At the heart of the Phone 3 is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which offers notable performance upgrades over the Phone 2’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. According to Nothing, the new chip will bring a 36% increase in CPU power, 88% improvement in GPU performance, and a 60% boost in AI (NPU) capabilities.

The upcoming device is expected to feature a 6.77-inch AMOLED display, supporting a high refresh rate for smoother visuals. For photography enthusiasts, Nothing is reportedly equipping the Phone 3 with a 50MP main camera featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), paired with an ultra-wide sensor and a periscope telephoto lens, enabling users to capture detailed shots with optical zoom. A 5,000mAh+ battery is likely to ensure long usage on a single charge.

In terms of memory and storage, the Phone 3 may offer configurations of 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 16GB RAM with 512GB storage. Expected pricing starts around $799 (approx. ₹68,000) for the base model and $899 (approx. ₹77,000) for the top-end version. These details place the Phone 3 in direct competition with other flagship devices like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus, Oppo Find X8 Pro, and the upcoming iPhone 16 Plus.

Interestingly, Nothing is moving away from its signature Glyph interface. The Phone 3 will not include the rear LED light system that set its previous models apart. Instead, the new design appears to embrace a sleek, dual-tone textured rear panel, possibly featuring a unique “button-like” area for added functionality. CEO Carl Pei has hinted that this model will take a more refined and minimalist direction in both design and software.

The Nothing Phone 3 marks the company’s bold entry into the true flagship smartphone segment, offering high-end performance, premium design, and innovative features. With its official launch just around the corner, excitement is building as fans and tech enthusiasts wait to see how it stacks up against more established premium players.
