New Delhi Hosts First National and International Icon Awards 2025

New Delhi : The inaugural session of the National and International Icon Awards 2025 was held on 11 May at Malviya Smriti Bhavan, New Delhi. Organized by the Bharatiya Sahitya Sanskriti Akademi and Samata Sahitya Academy, the event celebrated excellence in various fields with participation from across India and abroad.
Industrialist and Shiv Sena NDA alliance’s national election chief coordinator, Dr. Abhishek Verma, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Guests of Honour included Prof. (Dr.) K.G. Suresh, Director of the Indian Habitat Centre; Additional Advocate General Sanjev Sehgal from the Supreme Court of India; and former Nepal Cabinet Minister, Vishvendra Paswan. Hari Shankar Singh, President of Malviya Smriti Bhavan, was the Special Guest.
A total of 53 individuals were honoured—19 international and 34 national awardees. Among the recipients were Indian entrepreneur and socio-cultural activist Mithu Chatterjee and social activist Nitii Deyb, along with two others who received honorary D.Litt. degrees from California Public University, USA.
Event organizers Rakesh Debnath and Dr. Debanand S. Tandekar ensured a successful program. Dr. Verma emphasized unity, service to the nation, and support for cultural initiatives in his keynote address.
