Congress Leaders Support Armed Forces’ Action Against Pak Terror Camps
In a unified show of support, senior Congress leaders, including Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, expressed pride in the Indian Armed Forces following reported strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The strikes, reportedly targeting terror launchpads across the Line of Control (LoC), were conducted in response to increased infiltration attempts and cross-border terrorism.
Rahul Gandhi posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Proud of our Armed Forces. Jai Hind!” His message was echoed by Kharge and other senior Congress figures who lauded the bravery and professionalism of the Indian military. Congress leaders emphasized that national security transcends political lines, reaffirming the party’s long-standing support for counter-terror operations to safeguard the nation.
The operation is considered a significant step in India’s ongoing strategy to combat terrorism emanating from across the border. With tensions remaining high in the region, the strikes signal India’s firm resolve against terror networks operating with impunity in PoK.
This bipartisan backing underscores the critical role of a unified national front in the face of security threats. As India continues to confront cross-border terrorism, the political consensus bolsters both military morale and strategic coherence in addressing future challenges.
Opposition Leaders Hail Swift Response to Pahalgam Terror Attack
Leaders from Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and several regional parties have praised the government’s decisive response following the Pahalgam terror attack, which left 26 civilians dead. The brutal assault, allegedly orchestrated by Pakistan-backed militants, targeted a bus carrying pilgrims, sparking national outrage. In a rare show of unity, opposition parties commended the security forces’ prompt retaliation and demanded intensified anti-terror operations. The attack highlights persistent security challenges in Jammu and Kashmir and has reignited calls for stronger cross-border counterterrorism measures. Leaders emphasized national unity and the need for proactive security infrastructure.
Shiv Sena (UBT)
Uddhav Thackeray’s faction of the Shiv Sena expressed strong support for the Army’s actions and commended the courage of Indian soldiers.
A post from the party’s official X handle read:

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)
The AAP offered full backing to the armed forces and celebrated the success of Operation Sindoor.
Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal stated:

Nationalist Congress Party – Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SCP)
Party MP Supriya Sule echoed the national sentiment, saying:
“I am very proud of the Indian Army. They have carried out an extraordinarily measured action. I appreciate the government of India’s statement—it clearly emphasizes that this is a measured response. I respect that, because this fight is not against any country or civilians, it is against terrorism.”
Regional Parties: Andhra Pradesh
N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, hailed the military operation by reposting the Army’s message and writing:
“Jai Hind.”
Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy termed the strike a “decisive response”, adding:

Tejashwi Yadav, RJD leader and Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, declared:
“Long live Hindustan! Long live the Indian Army! Jai Hind… The Indian Army has always protected the wombs of mothers and the vermilion (Sindoor) on their foreheads.”
“We believe in truth, non-violence, and peace. But if our unity, integrity, and sovereignty are attacked, we know how to respond.”
Vijay Kumar Sinha, Deputy CM of Bihar and BJP leader, said:
“The day the Pahalgam terror attack took place, it was decided that Pakistan’s terrorists would no longer be spared. Today, through Operation Sindoor, India has struck hard at nine hideouts of terrorists in Pakistan and PoK. This is the response of a 56-inch chest! Jai Hind!”
