Cristiano Ronaldo’s eldest son earns first Portugal U15 call-up

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., the 14-year-old son of football legend Cristiano Ronaldo, has earned his first call-up to Portugal’s Under-15 national team. He will participate in the Vlatko Marković International Youth Tournament in Croatia, scheduled from May 13 to 18, 2025.

Currently playing for Al Nassr’s youth academy in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo Jr. has previously been part of the youth setups at Real Madrid, Juventus, and Manchester United. Notably, during his time at Juventus, he scored 58 goals and provided 18 assists in just 23 games.

Despite being born in the United States and raised in Spain, Ronaldo Jr. has chosen to represent Portugal, following in his father’s footsteps. His selection for the national team underscores his commitment to his heritage and his burgeoning football career. The Vlatko Marković Tournament, named after the former Croatian Football Federation president, is a significant platform for young talents. Portugal’s U15 team will face Japan, Greece, and England in the group stages.
