Cognizant to hire 20,000 fresh graduates in 2025

Cognizant, a major IT company based in the US with numerous employees in India, has announced intentions to hire 20,000 fresh graduates in 2025. This is part of the company’s initiative to grow and support areas like managed services and AI software development.

While the total workforce of the company stayed approximately at 336,300 people, Cognizant’s management conveyed that hiring new talent is essential for the company’s expansion. Ravi Kumar S, the CEO of Cognizant, stated that the firm plans to hire more than double the number of fresh graduates compared to last year.

The reason for hiring more new graduates is the rising demand for managed services, which has grown in the past two years. Through the hiring of recent graduates, Cognizant aims to strengthen its workforce and ensure a suitable mix of experienced employees and new recruits.

In addition to hiring recent graduates, Cognizant has brought back 14,000 former employees, and it intends to add another 10,000 to its workforce. This suggests that the organization values seasoned employees who have past experience with the organization.

Cognizant is focusing on enhancing the skills of its current employees to help them adjust to emerging technologies, especially AI. This will allow the company to stay competitive and keep delivering innovative solutions to customers.

In the initial quarter of 2025, Cognizant reported a revenue increase of 7.45% to reach $5.1 billion. This shows that the company keeps expanding even with challenges in the global economy.
