K-pop powerhouse BLACKPINK is officially gearing up for a much-anticipated comeback, with member Jisoo confirming that the group is preparing new music and will soon reunite for their latest world tour, titled “DEADLINE.” This announcement comes as a breath of fresh air for BLINKs (the group’s global fanbase), who have been waiting nearly three years for a full-group return following BLACKPINK’s last album, Born Pink, released in 2022.
In a recent interview with ELLE Korea for its July 2025 issue, Jisoo opened up about her excitement for BLACKPINK’s upcoming projects. She revealed that the group is currently working on a new album and that the “DEADLINE” world tour will kick off on July 5, 2025, at the Goyang Stadium in South Korea. The tour will cover major cities across Asia, North America, and Europe, before concluding in Hong Kong in early 2026.
Jisoo emphasized how much the group has missed performing together and interacting with fans. She said, “We’ve missed the cheers of BLINK so much, and we’re preparing something amazing so we can hear them even louder this time.” Although exact dates for the new music release haven’t been confirmed, her comments strongly suggest that BLACKPINK is planning to drop new tracks ahead of or during the tour.
Since their last group activity, all four members have been busy with individual pursuits. Jisoo has been active in acting, Lisa and Rosé have engaged in international projects and endorsements, while Jennie launched her own label. This period of individual growth, according to Jisoo, has enriched each member’s artistry and will enhance their group dynamic.
Fans are already speculating whether the “DEADLINE” title could hint at a final chapter in BLACKPINK’s current era. Despite this uncertainty, excitement is mounting, especially with news that the group has already filmed a new music video, likely tied to the upcoming album.
With the world tour set and the promise of new music, BLACKPINK’s return is shaping up to be one of K-pop’s biggest comebacks of 2025, promising powerful performances, new soundscapes, and an emotional reunion with fans across the globe.
